Vipingo Ridge is a luxurious residential golf development set within a 2500 acre estate located on the Kenya Coast 36 km north of Mombasa. The scenic and tranquil environment provides a unique blend of world-class luxury living with highly appealing investment opportunities.
I had gone to Vipingo Ridge for lunch with my girls and upon arrival at the gate, a fee of Ksh 1000 is charged per person and is redeemable at the restaurant. Often you will be directed to the restaurant by the guards at the gate if not ask for directions to avoid getting lost. In the ridge there are astounding villas, airstrip, conference room, gym and a restaurant.
Once I entered the ridge I felt prodigious from the green land to the fresh air. The feeling I once had when I visited the place years ago. It felt the exact same way and I loved it.
The waitrons were pretty receptive at the restaurant. The menu consists of starters, main dishes, bites, larger bites and desert upon which prices depend on what you had ordered. Cocktails are at a standard price and are pretty affordable compared to other places.
The drinks above are bloodymary, pimms and mojito. I would recommend pimms if you want to try something sweet, mojito is neutral and consists of lemon and if you are daring like me then bloody mary might do but be warned I am very distinctive in taste and felt like there was tomato paste (I didnt like it).
A muffin with butter is served while the main meal is being prepared.
The picture above consist of larger bites of goujons (chicken fingers) and chips masala and chips respectively while the picture below is chicken curry with chapatti and rice.
Vipingo Ridge can be used to host wedding, parties and conferences. They also have events and activities that run through the year. For more details visit their website.
