2 cups grounded chick peas
1 chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon grounded garlic
1/4 cup thinly sliced spinach
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 chopped green chilly
1/2 bunch of chopped coriander leaves
oil for frying
Salt to taste
Soak the chick peas for 6 to 8 hours
Clean the peas to remove small stones and any foreign particles
Now grind the clean peas to paste
Mix the paste with onion, garlic, spinach, turmeric, coriander leaves (daniya), chilly and salt
Take a deep frying pan with enough oil for frying and heat
Shape the peas into small balls one at a time and flatten them using your palm
Deep fry on medium heat; 8 to 10 pieces at a time until brown on both sides
Put them on a serving plate and serve them with coconut chutney.
